Killara

This project was for an addition and renovation of an old Californian bungalow house on Sydney's North Shore - Killara. This home had been in the family for over 50 years and the client was the grand daughter of the original owners. This project saw the request that a lot of the original features of the older house be kept, whilst still modernising and extending on the existing home. For this project, we had to protect the beautiful and ornate older ceilings in the front section, as this was going to be kept in the older style for sentimental reasons.

This project also created exciting challenges for us in many other ways, one of which was the interesting roof lines on the second storey addition. Each room has dormer windows and the roof pitch was also an excellent opportunity for us to really ring in all of our skills.

Unfortunately, we weren't able to obtain pictures of the house as it was before we commenced work on this project, but we do have photos of the home as it is now. They show the roof lines that we talked about earlier and also show the size and magnitude of this project.
